Composite Bonded Fillings

The concept of a "filling" is replacing and restoring your tooth structure that is damaged due to decay or fracture with another material. "Composite" is the material used to replace the damaged tooth structure. The process of "bonding" is what adheres the composite filling to the tooth.

Many of our patients request that we remove their existing amalgam/metal fillings that contain traces of mercury and replace them with tooth colored composite bonded fillings. Composite bonding can also be used to fix or repair chipped or cracked teeth, reduce gaps or spaces in between the teeth as well as hide tooth discoloration or faded areas of a tooth.
